the lessons lie in stepping into the unfamiliar.
much like the 'sadhana' ...
softly into areas of resistances - body, mind & spirit
& within this... possibility of transformation & alchemy

i knew why i wanted to share yoga...
not a difficult decision to move away from a corporate role
i knew immediately, i wanted to be in Africa
not a difficult decision to move away from india

intuitively aligned to forces larger than 'me'

& here... looking out, it feels much like a big indian city & unlike it completely!
palpable-polarities

have's & have nots
order & chaos
movement & stillness
black & white
drive & search
past & future
heart & mind
high-rises & barracks
corruption & soul
light & darkness
'sthir' & 'sukh'

and within the polarities.... the breath brings deep awareness, humility & acceptance

"Yoga"... unites
joining...
... cultures, minds, hearts & souls
We are one !

I walk again....

One finds great solace... in walking long distances... alone.... and in silence! A few years back, i lost a dearest friend to a tragic untimely accident. I was physically away from him when it happened. How does one deal with the experience of sharing each little moment of our lives to; the very next day the person disappearing from your life?
